Hot water pressure washers are specifically designed to cut though oil and grease. Unlike cold water machines, a hot water pressure washer blast can penetrate and break down the molecules of plant-, animal- and fossil-based oils. Without this heat, the water pressure simply spreads the oil from one place to another, no matter how much soap or solvents are applied. Specialized detergents applied to the wash water then combine with the oils and greases to become emulsified and ultimately carried away with the wash.

Furthermore, most hot water pressure washers operate at temperatures high enough to kill germs and bacteria on the surfaces that they clean. This makes them ideal for applications where sanitation and disinfection are a necessary part of the cleaning regimen as well.

Because of these features, a hot water pressure washer is an essential cleaning tool in Industries where regular cleaning of greasy equipment and engine parts is necessary, in food processing and preparation industries, and in many industrial and manufacturing industries that work with oils and greases.
